Schizophrenia Awareness Week is again upon us and MIFA is pleased to welcome our international guest for this year: Dr David Morris.
Dr Morris is a professor of mental health at the University of Central Lancashire and is the director of the newly formed Inclusion Institute (UK).
Dr Morris has managed to push through no less than 27 sets of recommendations to improve social inclusion; not only with governments but with other institutions as well - including such names as the Tate Modern.
While in Australia, Dr Morris will be visiting Victoria, Queensland, the Northern Territory and the ACT.

New resources available for culturally diverse communities
Multicultural Mental Health Australia (MMHA) has launched a new range of mental health resources for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
The range includes CDs of information about mental health in over 20 languages and covering a broad range of topics.
The release came at the same time as MMHA announced a new stigma-busting program for multicultural communities, to be known as Stepping Out of the Shadows.
The new audio series is now available from MMHA – 02 9840 3333 or www.mmha.org.au.
